Welcome to the Third Annual Meeting of the International Society of the Cardiovascular Translational Research Society to be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

The goal of this meeting is to bring together leaders in separate disciplines to discuss and highlight strategies for open collaboration to expedite scientific discoveries into clinical application and make clear progress in the steps towards evidence based medicine.

The Journal of Cardiovascular Translational Research, supported by Springer, was launched at the inaugural meeting (February 2008), and continues to provide a forum for continued engagement and interaction among the disciplines. Your registration at this meeting will include electronic access to this journal.

The mission of the International Society for Cardiovascular Translational Research is to:

• Provide an environment for collaboration and guidance among basic and clinical scientists
• Expedite scientific discoveries into clinical application
• Disseminate the science among the scientific community
• Promote critical research
• Further the development and application of standards and guidelines
• Influence health care policy and educate the public
